TJ and I caught the Avett Bros. show at Mohegan Sun on Friday night - outstanding!. Make sure to catch these guys live if you ever get a chance - they are fantastic. And their new record "Four Thieves Gone" is coming out on February 7th.

The starting goalie for #1-ranked Wisconsin was injured in practice yesterday, and is expected to be out 3-4 weeks. It's always a shame to see anyone get injured . . . this has the potential to really shake things up at the top of the national rankings . . .

Here's a photo of the groomsmen from my buddy Drew's wedding in Orlando over the weekend. That's Drew third from the left, along with fellow Hamiltonians Tsekani (on the left, with thumb up), Pascal (next to Tsekani), and Steve (third from the right). Those barongs are pretty sharp . . . I think I might need one.

Congratulations, Joy and Drew - it was a beautiful wedding, and a blast of a weekend!

Try to get a listen to Charlie Sexton's "Cruel and Gentle Things" as soon as you can - you won't regret it. Although, why does it make me feel a little bit old to be recommending something classified as "adult rock"?

What I'm Listening to Lately

For my money, The Avett Bros. are just about the coolest band going right now. Their sound is sort of "Alt-Bluegrass". Check out their web site.

Oh, and the Leach Bros. are heading to Mohegan Sun to catch an Avett Bros. show next Friday . . .
