OK, I got your Avett Bros. Pretty good. As the risk of sounding a little like I'm pitching one of Howland's screenplays, it's Bluegrass meets Foo Fighters with a little bit of Nickel Creek thrown in.
Let me make a suggestion in return: Matisyahu. Hasidic Jew. Reggae artist extraordinaire. Pick up "Live at Stubb's" (yes, that Stubb's; I don't think he ate the ribs while he was there) as soon as you possibly can.
Another rec for ya: "Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs." An awesome--and awesomely entitled--album. I'd be surprised if Tyler and his alt-alt-rock college radio sensibilities haven't been attuned to him for years.

"Live at Stubb's" just got added to my wish list . . .
